Event Description:
According to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Regulation 29 CFR 1910.177, every employee that touches a commercial truck tire must have specific training. Besides OSHA compliance, fleets can protect themselves from liability by ensuring that every technician is properly trained on truck tire service procedures. The Tire Industry Association (TIA) is the industry leader in tire education and Senior Vice President of Training Kevin Rohlwing will be conducting this one-day training class exclusively for the South Carolina Trucking Association. Rohlwing will cover all aspects of fleet truck tire and wheel service including OSHA regulations, wheel inspection/installation/torque and demounting/mounting/inflation. Every student will receive a workbook and materials required by OSHA. Those who successfully complete the final exam and skills demonstration will receive a TIA Certificate of Completion. This program has been recognized by OSHA as compliant with the training requirements outlined by 29 CFR 1910.177 and represents the highest standards for education in the truck tire and wheel service industry. LED BY: Kevin Rohlwing is the Senior Vice President of Training for the Tire Industry Association (TIA).
